The Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is one of the most recognized qualifications in English as a foreign Language. The Diploma in TESOL targets those who are keen on and interested in teaching English as a second or foreign language. The program provides the students with the proper tools needed to help in establishing their careers as English language teacher. For experienced teachers, it gives them the opportunity to develop their teaching skills and to acquire a recognized qualification for career advancement.

The duration of the Diploma in TESOL is two years and six months (5 semesters). In the last semester, the students will be placed in a public or a private primary or secondary school to conduct their professional training (Practicum/Internship).


Program Structure and Features:

The program is delivered in English. The students will have the opportunity to learn through observing lectures, holding interviews, giving oral presentations and participating in group projects. The students will have unlimited access to our language lab, library and online resources.

The Diploma in TESOL is a 90 credit hours program. The students will go through four different stages that are developing their verbal and written communication skills, learning how to design instructional material to teach listening, speaking, reading and writing, learning how to test and evaluate students’ skills and finally conduct classes and prepare evaluating material in real workplace scenarios.

After completing our Diploma in TESOL, our graduates may work as English language teachers in public or private schools in Malaysia or abroad. They may also work as teachers of English as a second language (TESL) or English as a foreign language (TEFL) anywhere in the world. Our Diploma in TESOL is recognized by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and the Malaysian Ministry of Higher education (MOHE).
